A PDF page stores a rotation angle separately from its drawn content. Rotate PDF pages here means updating that angle, not reprinting the artwork. Invalid input fails before any rewrite. An empty custom field, a reversed range such as 5-3, a number larger than the page count, or text that is not a number or range stops the job with a clear error. That is intentional. Guessing a page number would rotate the wrong sheet and still look like success.

After a valid range is applied, verification checks two groups: selected pages must show the new angle, and unselected pages must still show the old angle. Download stays hidden until both checks pass. If you need a different subset, replace the file or change the range and run the tool again.

Scanned PDF pages are a common reason people search for this task. A sheet fed through a scanner the wrong way often becomes a PDF whose contents are intact but whose stored rotation is 90° off. This tool can correct that stored angle. It cannot detect which way “up” should be, straighten a slightly skewed photo, or rebuild a raster image.

If a scan is already a PDF page, choose the pages that look sideways and apply 90° or 180°. If some pages are portrait and others are landscape on purpose, leave the correct pages out of the custom range. The tool will not auto-rotate based on text direction or face detection.
